Match stewards at Old Trafford have been warned they may face a pay cut if Manchester United fail to qualify for the Champions League this season.

According to the Guardian, they have also been told to expect a fresh wave of anti-Glazer protests as the club continue to labour under David Moyes.

United hardly seem to be a big fan of looking after their stewards. In 2010 the club sacked 53-year-old steward Granville Boden after he returned a confiscated anti-Glazer banner to a fan after a game.
