A heavy defeat was too much for one semi-professional hockey player in Oxford last night.

Brandon Miles, who plays for Bracknell Hornets in the English National League South Division 1, received a match penalty and a game misconduct from throwing his stick at the referee, according to the Oxford Mail.

The incident occurred shortly after the Oxford City Stars had taken a 4-0 lead at the end of the first period. The Stars went on to win 15-5, so goodness knows what he might have done if he was still around at the final buzzer.

No word yet on the length of any possible suspension, but if it’s anything like this classic – taken from the under-18 Championships in 2013 – he’ll receive… nothing at all. This amateur hunting enthusiast played in the next game of the tournament!
